Underarm Botox or Dysport is an effective treatment for excessive sweating (axillary hyperhidrosis). Neurotoxin blocks the nerve signals that stimulate sweat glands, resulting in significantly reduced perspiration.

What to Expect

Pre-Treatment Care

• Shave underarms 24 hours prior to treatment
• Avoid applying deodorant, lotions, or creams on the day of treatment
• Refrain from alcohol and blood thinners 48 hours before
• Inform your provider if you have any skin infections or irritations

Aftercare

• Avoid strenuous activity and heat exposure for 24 hours
• Do not apply deodorant for 24 hours post-treatment
• Avoid rubbing or massaging the underarms
• Resume normal activities the next day

Contraindications

This treatment is not recommended for those who:

• Are pregnant or breastfeeding
• Have infections or open wounds in the underarm area
• Have neuromuscular disorders
• Are allergic to botulinum toxin
